Home again, home again…
It’s good to come home, especially to a view like this.
We are back from a 4 day wedding in Texas. What a celebration! Remarkable to me, I was asked to officiate for the ceremony. Me? Being asked felt like being seen in a way I’ve not been before. Threshold moments like weddings give us a chance to see and feel our path more clearly. After several monthly zooms with the bride and groom, we came up with something heartfelt and happy.
On the “book front,” I now travel with copies of Shanghaied and gave a few away. And I remembered that my cousin has a college classmate who produced a mainstream film. She texted him for me and he responded right away, willing to read Shanghaied.
But 2024 sales are low: January - 4; February - 9; March - 4; April - 2… I am not getting this done! My homework is to make more use of the book awards and associated resources. And to not get discouraged.
Your homework (I hope my asking doesn’t chase you off) is to ask three or more friends to read Shanghaied and, if they like it, to leave a review on Amazon, Barnes&Noble, BookShop or Goodreads.
Thank you!
