Yesterday, two reviews arrived in my email. Both positive, one four-star and up on Goodreads, the other five-star and on ReaderViews.com with a potential to win an award. Next? We’ll see what the other eight review sites I’ve submitted Shanghaied to say.

This is gratifying, that a professional in the publishing business, someone other than my biased and wonderful friends and family, validates Shanghaied as a good book. I needed that. Thank you. It may or may not be an award winner, but I have become confident that it is a good story which the book serves well.

In the meantime, Amazon has somehow flagged the reviews and rankings they receive for Shanghaied as suspicious? So, they don’t post any new ones. That’s okay, there are other places to review and rank. Now to see if these reviews prompt an uptick in sales. THAT would be what I want for Xmas.
