Podcast/book talk & NY Times

Time for a summer read? This was such a sweet anchorage! Great time and place to settle into a good book. Isabel Bay, Desolation Sound, Canada.

Per my “homework,” here is the link to my first podcast book talk. For an unknown author/book, this, no doubt, reaches a bigger audience than any bookstore book talk. Souvenirs is my friend Suzi’s podcast. She (like I) believes everyone has a story and she’s a good listener. If you enjoy the interview, please recommend her podcast to your friends. She posted our conversation on June 4: https://rss.com/podcasts/souvenirs/1500305/

I subscribe to the NY Times headlines. That is likely why I get mail from their book review…where Shanghaied is still unknown. Most of what they advertise has been paid for but they ended today’s newsletter with this: “If you have time, tell us what you’re reading. (We may publish your response on our Letters page, or feature it in an upcoming newsletter.) You can email us at books@nytimes.com. We read every letter sent.”

They’re not looking for biased input from authors but, hey, you are a reader. IF you feel like it, please introduce them to Shanghaied and tell them what you like about it. Thank you.
